DAY 1 - Bonus painting, "SEPARATION OF DAY AND NIGHT"

This piece is a personal exploration of light, darkness, depth and dimension, crafted with love over several weeks. It features four distinct layers of resin, each uniquely painted with a combination of oil paint, gold mica pigments, acrylic paint, and adorned with 22 karat gold and black leaf. Each layer of resin encapsulates a separate painting, creating a literal 3D effect. This artwork is representative of God making the division between light and darkness. Although plants aren't traditionally part of Day 1, I decided to include them in this bonus painting to add a deeper element to the piece. This was an idea I sketched a few years ago, and it felt like it needed to be included at the beginning of this series, even if it doesn't perfectly align with the original description of “Day 1.” It explores the dichotomy between modern and ancient influences,  blending contemporary techniques with timeless elements. It is essentially a fusion of modern ideas and ancient motifs,  bridging past and present. This process is highlighted by a custom Rett Ashby intricate frame, enhancing its look. Measuring 37 x 53 inches and painted on maple wood panel, this artwork is a bonus addition to my collection, inspired by a burst of creativity that led to its creation as the third piece of DAY 1. Priced at $7000, the cost reflects its sheer size and materials used. This painting comes custom framed and ready to hang.
